esprit s2 94 1 Vehicles Report post Posted May 28, 2009 Dropped the car off at Lotus yesterday and we were gobsmacked by the friendliness of Rowland and the team there. I went through what I'd like doing to the car with Rowland and he said he'd get someone to do a couple of trips to take me and the missus (Hazel) to the station - a couple of trips as the car was an Elise. Before you go, he said, would we like a couple of laps of the test track? Would we?!!! So a guy called Danny (he was the guy in the 211 at Castle Combe on Saturday) took Hazel round first in an Elise S and then took me round after! Why anyone needs a quicker car than that is beyond me! When that was done he drove us, one at a time, to the station. Whatever the bill comes to when I pick the car up next week I don't care cos that kind of service is worth paying for! Brilliant. He helped one of our members to get a new windscreen, though it was on very short notice. After the hassle with the cars we sometimes have and expense this kind of thing makes you forget it all and love Lotus. Hats off to em I say! dodgey_rog 2 Report post Posted May 28, 2009 I must admit, whenever we've called the factory to ask any questions or had any problems, the back up has been excellent. You just know you wouldn't get that kind of service from the likes of Porsche or the others. They seem to genuinely want to help you, all round top marks for the factory team!!!! I hope that Lotus management are aware of the efforts that their staff have put into the public face of the company because this is one of the key reasons why I dont think that my first Lotus will be my last.
