SimonE
Hopefully not Iain - its a just in case post to see what is available should the worst happen. I should know the extent of damage over the next few days - fingers crossed that it is just bent valves.
SimonE
Engine damage appears rather severe - 1 inlet and 5 exhaust cam followers are shattered and the castles damaged at respective follower positions, camshaft lobes also appear damaged at same location. Metal shards in plenum - expecting the worst when the head is removed.
SimonE
Despite extensive damage decided to rebuild the dry sump engine - fingers crossed that the scavenge pump is ok
