Took almost a year to decide on the tool bag set, but my missus bought them for my Xmas pressie. Quality is absolutely beautiful, and they fit very nicely in the Exige boot. Highly recommended at the reduced price!

We did think there was a problem with some of the stitching, but I pulled out the excess bits, and it looks fine now. @Bibs Julie accidentally sent her draft email about this. You can safely ignore it 😀👍

Hey @Bibs! Sorry to bother you, but do you know if there’s any guidance on waterproofing the leather luggage? Just a little worried what would happen if I got caught in a downpour with them.

I would use a good quality leather shoe spray Brendan. About a fiver a can. You might need a couple of cans to do a good job 👍

@RamboI saw your reply, was thinking of trying shoe waterproofing spray, but wondered if something like the more traditional beeswax treatment might be better for this type of leather. Hope you’re doing well, and making good use of those wheels 👍

Hi Brendan. All well here. Wheels got refurbed in the summer and put on late Autumn. I think the silver finish actually looks better than my anthracite forged wheels. Had a massive blow out (ROS) the other day so now looking for a new Yoko winter tyre.

Hope all goes well with the luggage protector. You'll need to book to book you, SWMBO and the Exige into a posh hotel now 😉

Holy shit! Sorry to hear about the blowout! Hope no real harm done!? Honestly thought those tyres were all good. I feel really bad about that. 
 

Definitely need to plan some kind of road trip to make proper use of the luggage 😀

North Coast 500 (NC500) in early Spring with a stop off in Duns at the Jim Clark museum on the way back south?

PS don't worry about the tyres. A deep pothole can ruin a brand new one and it happened to a friend recently. Low profile, winter tyre and inner wall like mine.

I almost did the NC500 last year. Lots of stories of broken roads, too many caravans, and a heavy police presence rather put me off 🙁

True. It's all become a bit spoilt now. Bucket lists, social media etc... have a lot to do with it. Probably easier for you to head over the Channel and explore the lovely Brittany, Normandy etc... Or stay at a posh chateau en route to Le Mans.

Yeah, I’ve always found France a lovely place to drive, though I haven’t explored enough of Wales, Scotland, or even the Lake District
