Thanks GKP. Mentions Sinclaires, but no experiences. But thinking back, when I crashed my Esprit, Sinclaires was one that came recommended.

I'd certainly recommend Sinclaire's, used them exclusively for a few years. Because of the track day tole, they've done some major work on my V8, e.g. new engine, new gearbox, new turbos (twice), new radiator, etc. Plus all the usual servicing (including cambelts).

That sounds promising!! I'd like to see the history on-file for this car, so I've emailed Sinclaires to find out.

The vehicle, according to the dealer, has had an engine rebuild quite recently, but can't find the paperwork for it, so he says! Suspicious maybe, but I've asked Sinclaires what records they have for the vehicle. I'm a little skeptical about it, but this is meant to be a Lotus main dealer that's selling it......hmm!!

one of the previous owners was a neighbour of mine at my last house. The car was on their stand at Donington last year (08) and was at the Hethel 60th.

Unless i'm mistaken that car has been at Castle Lotus for a very long time. I think it is the one they rang me up about when i was looking. I've dealt with Castle Lotus a few times (not just for my car) and they do seem a very profesional bunch.

I can confirm that car has been on sale for nearly 18 months now. Feb 08 I first saw it !!

Well overpriced, lovely looking car but unless the C service was done like yesterday I wouldn't be looking to spend that much.
