Who was the guy?

Recommended Posts

The was a guy on the BBC I think, (dead now) did programs on old engineering and architecture, he had a north country accent and had great enthusiasm for his topics. I wondering if his series was put out on video, but it would help if I could remember his name.

Are you thinking of Fred Dibnah, the steeplejack and steam enthusiast? I am sure the BBC did tapes/CDs. tonyc

Almost certainly was Fred. Sadly no longer with us but a great character. He did a couple of series for the BBC.
