Tracing the history of my Esprit

Hi everyone

I have started tracing the history of my 88 Esprit Turbo and wondered if you know the car, any of it's owners or maybe even owned it yourself ? Here's what i know so far :-

E77 JFA January 88 Jon Graham Associates, St Helens New

E77 JFA April 91 Mr C Osborne, London 25,000 mls

E77 JFA Sept 93 Mr P Clamp, Leicster 39,000 mls

E378 ERR July 96 Mr A Gosden, London 49,000 mls

E378 EER Nov 96 Mr S James, Brentwood 50,000 mls

E378 ERR Dec 97 Chrys Ablitt, Chelmsford 52,000 mls

ABL 11T,ABL7T,E5 LOT all the same owner - he liked his plates !

NXR 35Q May 2009 myself, Australia 58,000

There are 8 registered keepers on the rego document, so there are 2 people missing from ths list. If you have any information I would love to hear from you.

When the DVLA first started their Cherished Transfer scheme occasionally (incorrectly) a new owner was added to the running total each time a plate was swapped. It's possible this may have happened here?

Just a guess but looking at the name certainly ABL7T looks a bit like Ablitt to be a co-incidenece as does ABL11T. Could that not all be Chrys Ablitt ??

Just for your info, as your car is a Turbo and was registered Jan 88, it would have had a grey valance when new and will have been resprayed at some point.

Yep, correct. C. Ablitt is the bloke I bought it from, he was the previous owner for 12+ years. He had regular services carried out regardless of milage and had 2 full C-Services carried out during only 5000 miles of driving along with all the A and B services. ( The car was a garage queen but driven regularly ) He gave me a file which is full of his invoices which match up with the fully stamped service book from the time that he owned the car.

Some of the earlier 90's invoices from previous owners have the car rego number on them but no owners name, and also a few are missing otherwise I would have a complete history. The missing owners I suspect were in the first 10 years of it's life. It would be great to find and chat to someone who owned the car previously.
