[email protected] 1
Does anybody know what the optimum operating temperature is for A048 LTS tyres? More importantly, what is the temperature at which they are considered to be overheating? Quote Saving up for a sequential gearbox
ads_green 12
Not sure on the A48's but the toyo R888 is similar and has an optimum tread temperature range between 85C and 95C measured using a probe type pyrometer, and ideally a maximum difference across the tread of 9C. [email protected] 1
Thanks Ads I will set the hi-temp warning on the temperature/pressure sensor gismo to 95C as a start then and see how often it triggers (probably never, knowing my slow and gentle style of driving). Hope it is dry on Friday so I get a chance to try it. Quote Saving up for a sequential gearbox
ads_green 12
You'll be surprised just how hard it is to maintain that kind of temp
stephanie plum 1
Used my gizmo for the first time today at Goodwood - saw temperatures of between 40-50 C on my tyres. I have no frame of reference on this as never really looked at temps before. Anyone any further ideas as to what is normal, what is overheating, what is cold?
