esprit gearbox

Hi all had my gear box oil changed last week at a mates garage ,they put in 2 .3 litres ep90 gearbox oil .is that enough .could not find level plug left hand side of gearbox .or do you have to take rear cover off my car is an s3 with fith gear drian at back of the gear box any help would be good . cant find my hand book sods law thanks mike

Hi Mike,

your box holds 2.25 litres of oil, the level plug you are looking for is

about halfway up the left hand side of the gearbox and forward of where the speedo cable goes in! once you find this undo it and pour oil in the filler plug from above and stop when oil pours out of the level plug! by the sounds of it though your mate has put the correct amount in! but its always worth checking!
