Interesting subject...

With the two fuel fillers, you could keep one for petrol and

use the other by blanking the fuel hose and re-routing it to

the LPG gas tank. That way the car would not need an ugly

extra filler.

Question is, why?

LPG burns hotter which I doubt would be good for the engine, it inhibits performance on top end and acceleration and you only get 70-90% of the mileage of normal fuel, but in it's defence it produces only 20% of the co2 of normal fuel.

Save it for vans and normal cars I say

A 2nd filler doesnt look so bad especially on a dark colourered esprit.

With rising fuel costs in the UK 90p a litre is silly. Im just interested in the matter as I converted to lpg a few weeks ago and im paying 33p a litre.

Pre-97 Esprit's have 2 anyway....

If you're looking at saving a few quid on fuel you're thinking of buying the wrong car. The Esprit is a supercar, not a family saloon or hatchback or MPV.

I can appreciate that, however supercar or not there is no difference to performance. At high rpm the gas switches over to superunleaded and the automatic switching between the fuels is totally unnoticeable.

Considering todays news on global warming, duty will continue to rise, whereas gas is frozen for the next 3 years. Just a thought anyhow.
