Well I hadn't passed my test at this time so I think my folks thought that I might as well have a car that is already a wreck to save me the job! When I did pass my test I spent more time pushing the car to the side of the road than I did driving it!

I inherited my first car from my brother, Boris the Morris - black with red leather - I think he may now be in Venezuala. I spent quite a lot of time waiting for the AA or trying to get him up Wycombe hill.

First car I bought with my own money was Thompson Triumph - 1500HL, orange. What a dream car, I have lovely memories, but I fear he may be baked bean tins.... :D

First bike, ZXR400 - loved it.

I feel the need to go and cuddle Billy...

My friend has a S1 landrover. I drove it round the block and all i can say is it was like driving the bus in the carry on films, bobbing up and down steering left and right to keep it straight..hrhr.gif

After passing my car test I preferred vans. First 4 wheel vehicle was a VW Transporter T3 - I liked these so much that I probably owned about 12 in all.

My first car would have been a Lancia HPE around 1987 - I sprayed it in the style of the rally Lancia Delta Integrale - did all the paint job myself including the signwriting! Even remember welding a tube into the rear wing to create a 'down the tube' electric aerial - Ahh, happy days!

My first car [age 19] was a 1959 MGA...a $300 special..1969....picked it up on a Saturday evening and got pulled over i/2 mi. from home, spent the night at the police station due to not having my insurance contract on me.....police.gif

Funny thing a few months ago I needed to renew my Ca. drivers license and the NY State DMV said I still needed to pay a $125.00 fine for lack of insurance card..40 years later....wallbash.gif

It took them three weeks to finally figure out it had been paid..... I hated that positive ground pice of crap and NYC.....thumbdown.gif

I think it's fast enough…maybe
