Forgive me, but i added a section i thought relevent and voted that!!!

Other owners have commented on this and i agree, the later cars eg V8 and S4

have more curves, and especially the round section under the rear bumper. This

is almost mirrored in the round number plate recess in the new '02 round light panel.

I think the round lights fit on to any later shape Esprit just fine, but on a Stevens

car like mine, it's more straight edged and the curves of the panel (in my opinion)

match nothing on the car. It still looks good, but you can tell it's a modification at

a glance, rather than a factory fit.

I like the look. I think it's logical to use the Elise lights, but coming from a much

smaller car they do look kinda tiny on the Esprit. I can't help but wonder that if

Lotus had made unit's for the Esprit then they would be larger?

I think the early cars (especially the S1) would look

very good with round (think 308) style lights too...

IMO the toyota lights typify the Esprit back end. The 02 lights seem to lend to the trend (Ferrari esque) - however Steve wright has the 02 lights on his early Stevens and I think it looks great, the colour of the car certainly helps.

Fiat X1/9 tails look best IMO

I actually really like the way Toyota units look on the Stevens car. It was a well done job.

And very much dislike the round lights... they don't integrate much at all with the surrounding car IMO. Plus they cop Ferrari, Corvette etc.

I'm ambivalent about the SD1 tails. They look too big and bulky... But they look alright on the turbo

This is kinda what i meant by that, just put these up together to

be sure i was not dreaming it, but they are smaller than the rear

panel is ready to accomodate, in my opinion only, so don't get upset!

I could go either way.

I feel like tail lights are a necessary evil and should be as unobtrusive as possible. Many manufacturers -- especially American ones -- disagree with me.

I quite like this idea of the clear rear indicator lenses. Certainley on mine I think it will give the rear a much cleaner look.

Not too keen on the clear rear lenses , look too "Pep Boys" on an exotic

Using the round tailights was definately sending a "Ferrari Envy" message IMO

These are the nicest tailights on a car at the moment B)

Come on fellers,

Why muck about with something that was ' right ' at the time in the deluded hope that YOU can make it more 'Modern' ??

Who are you kidding?

Door handles on early Esprits, angular, as the styling what is wrong with them ?

Ford popular parts ( Visible ) on lotus 6 .......and eleven .... so what ?

Triumph herald parts on an Elan twincam, oh shit, its got a cortina short block , What does it mean ?

Ford cortina Mk I rear lamps on a Le Mans GT40 ???????

Fer Chrissake , LET ME HAVE ONE PLEASE .!!!!!!

everything is of an era , it is automobile HISTORY , Get real , dont mess with it .

'85/'86 AE86 Corolla coupes, but only the Hatchback. And I'm pretty sure it's the Levin model rather than the Trueno.

When are you Stevens guys going to accept your cars are soon to be classics? :(

After all the Toyota tailamps look better on a Stevens than on a Corolla :(

i like my rear ooooeerrrr, but as ppl have said, its a modern look for sure, and thats why i did it, to make it look more 2006.

on a older car, im really not sure, and it may look very ferrari, and the rear panel looks to big for the small elise lights,,,,,so if you do it, use ferrari light instead and 3/4 sink them, so they dont stick right out like the rari.

best rear end

I was actually thinking about buying a Truneo.. beefing up that 1.6l 4age engine is not such a bad idea...bullet proof!

plus the car is cheap and its a FR.. great for drifting
