I was actually thinking about buying a Truneo.. beefing up that 1.6l 4age engine is not such a bad idea...bullet proof!

plus the car is cheap and its a FR.. great for drifting

yeah supposed to be a pretty fun car. my friend has a black one with the 4agze motor (was supercharged) that is now turbocharged and pushing close to 350hp. not bad for such a light car.

here is a link of an impressive build on one of those cars. this is the way to fix up a car...

Always wanted one myself. Would just be something fun I wouldn't have to worry about too much. Been in love since initial D :(

That said the taillights look much better on the Esprit

"This 255hp power plant from group A racing field features non-VVTi cam gears with re-worked internals allowing race-tuned versions to rev to 11,000 rpm."

YES I ALSO HAVE BEEN LOOKING AT THIS ENGINE OR BUILDING ONE LIKE IT.. THERE IS ALSO THE EXACT SAME ENGINE YOU CAN BUY IN THE STATES - ALANTIC FORMULA ENGINE - CREATED BY TRD USA "http://www.toysport.com/New%20Products/Atlantic.htm'

I know someone who has done a lot of work on the Toyota Atlantic motors. If you really want one, I can talk to him. Mind you, its not cheap...

Not too keen on the clear rear lenses , look too "Pep Boys" on an exotic :(

Using the round tailights was definately sending a "Ferrari Envy" message IMO :)

These are the nicest tailights on a car at the moment B)

I agree... I'd almost buy an aston just for the taillights... :) not that I'd have the money lol...

I'm probably one of the few people on here who would actually go as far as modding an 02V8 to have Toyota lights! :)

I like elises, don't get me wrong, but I have a real thing for those flat pannels.... :)

<{POST_SNAPBACK}>

I've often thought the same (about myself) if I ever got a V8

Love the pic of the 288 GTO.. one of my all time favs.. that last line yellow V8 looks awesome, love the bottom valance..

So are circular light conversion kits available for the Steves cars.. what I'd be intersted is lightweight led versions of the Toyota tail lights.. [idea]

I have a pair of superlight circular led lights that I had intended for an earlier race car, which incorporate all of the main light functions.. not fitted yet as I reckon they'd be out of place on the SE..

It's alive.. alive!!!..

Yeah i like the lights on your car now. I say dont change to the circular. Shouldnt be too hard to make lightweight versions of the toyota ones...

Wayne, i'm well sorry but i disagree. I think the painted bit

in the middle looks tacky. I have been racking my brains as

to where i'd seen something like that, and thought the same.

saw one today.

:o

They did the same thing here

But i kinda have a soft spot for this still. :)

I like the Astons that look like Astons, i constantly mistake the modern

ones for the modern jaguars, but the older Astons look like the sort of

thing that the words 'Aston Martin' bring to mind. Academic, as i can't

afford either!!!!

No complaint with any of the taillights.

I like the Lagonda. A lot. If I needed a practical sedan and had a sh!tload of money, I'd love one

I remember the first time I saw a DB7 convertible, I thought it was a slightly funny looking Camaro convertible :)

As for new Astons... They look alright. But I think they've used the same design about 5 times. And they do look like the Jag.

Prettiest modern Aston- The Virage :o

Passed a DB9 in traffic on the 405 going into Los Angeles this morning and my daughter, who normally likes things such as Scions and the new Mini thought it was gorgeous, which, of course, it was. No way did it look like a Jaguar. It looked like it was made form one piece with lines drawn on it to show where the doors and boot were.

I think the Virage was not a patch on the DBS series cars but it did keep Aston Martin in business. But the quality of the current cars is way higher.

I agree, dont like the round lights on any Esprit
