Lotus Elise S1 1998 - GBP8,000 (8,000GBP)

Recommended Posts

Thanks for looking, I've decided its time for me to part company with my S1 Elise. My second Elise, I've owned R40WUF since September 2007 in which time we've travelled around 37,000 miles. In my ownership, the car has been maintained almost regardless of cost, has been serviced regularly at main dealers or Lotus specialists. Its also received most of the normal upgrades one would expect on an elise of this vintage.Cambelt, coolant change were both completed in July 2009 and most recent oil change was in in October. The belt is a required change every three years, so make sure any S1 you buy has had one recently... or there could soon be 500 quid disappearing out of you pocket!Prior to my ownership, the car had several enthusiast owners, is reasonably familiar in the Elise community and comes complete with a fair amount of history.Spec / extras includeTitanium silverRed leather & roof (refurbed 2008)Bilstein dampersRaceline manifoldJanspeed supersport exhaust with decatFront and rear OEM (cast)discs and Pagid RS42 pads replaced July 2009Braided hosesFull carpet setK&N57i inductionAluminium 'trophy' throttle bodyLater model S1 Rimstock alloy with Lotus endorsed Yokohama Advan tyresAlso comes with original AWS alloys complete with Toyo 888 semi slicks (new fronts, slightly used rears)Pioneer MP3/Ipod compatible head unitThat's the major bits, there some ally tat in the cabin and a shower cape too.As I said, I've owned this car for 2 1/2 years - its been sympathetically tracked on a few occasions and as a result, its received a lot of care and attention. It completed nearly 3000 miles in a week September on the annual Lotus Stelvio Pass trip without a hitch and I'd very happily take it there again, but I can't fit the Elise and my Exige in my parking space, so its time for the Elise to go.Hell, I'll even throw in a 3rd Generation Ipod to sweeten the deal.
