I see from this months mag that last years Oxford run features and Paul C gets a mention for his stirling efforts at Stoneleigh. What esteemed circles we move in.....

I thought Paul C was going for the record on the most mentions in a club mag :) He gets a few mentions B)

<{POST_SNAPBACK}>

:P

Thing is...

I'd actually let my Club lotus membership lapse, partly due to the fiasco of 2004's

Stoneleigh 'Esprit special' and partly due to the lack of Esprit stuff in the magazine

combined with the rise of stuff online (ie here!). But as Alan at Club Lotus was

so great with sorting out the stoneleigh thing this year, and is very welcoming

of the whole Esprit community i thought i'd re-join as it was only right to after

what they let us have for the show.

So this mag was the first CL mag i've had for about a year. It was going to print

when i phoned up about a month ago to re-join, i kinda hoped they wouldn't notice

my name or remember me, but it was like "Paul Chandler?, THE Paul Chandler?,

You're not EVEN a member???".

:P:P:(

Seriously...

Great to see the oxford meet covered in there, i cannot imagine even the most

internet shy luddite, not wanting to get their Esprit to the next one and meet us all.

Club Lotus, and Alan Morgan Especially are very open to any Esprit input you

guys want to put their way (photos, letters, features etc). Also, as they are hosts

of events we use as venues for our large meets (Donny, Stoneleigh, Castle coombe),

I recommend joining them. Who knows? next month it may be your name in there!!!

what happen at the event Paul C?  why were you mentioned?

<{POST_SNAPBACK}>

Nothing really, the LEW write up of last years Oxford run was reprinted

in the magazine, and my names in that somewhere. And i sorted us out

some parking at another event, so my names there too.

I'm really not that interesting enough for them to want to print details...

:P

oh gosh he is modest!

Paul deserves the attention because he works hard for the Esprit community.

I was going to let my Club Lotus membership lapse and now I am glad I did not, for the same reasons as Paul.

Club lotus with Alan at the helm seem to be coming aware that ther is a large group of Esprit owners out there who dont have much time for Club Lotus and they seem to be trying to address the problem.

I let my membership lapse only last November due to lack of Esprit stuff...
