Does anyone know what this is ?

I bought it last year from ebay as a gearshift upgrade and suspect it is for a G car as it doesn't seem to fit mine.

Suspect it's the "SJ sportscars" gearshift mod.

yep, that looks like the gear linkage upgrade for a G car to me

will double check the measurements against mine later on to definatly comfirm it

Definately looks like the one Dan identified it as.

SJ Sportscars lists it as follows.

Gearbox | Gear lever & linkage parts

GEARCHANGE MODIFICATION S3 & TURBO SJ503 EACH 23.99

Just measured mine and its just over 15" (i wish)

so hopefully another G owner will have a much improved gearchange

p.s thats just the bar not the end bit! so yes looking at your measurements im 99.9% its one.

Yep it is the gear linkage upgrade (crossgate cable extension). I bought one and it turned out to be to long so I took it to a friend who milled it down to the right length for my car.

There are two lengths available 240mm and 422mm. Hope that helps.
