Pistonheads
LOTUS ESPRIT S1 1976Matching Numbers76090134GCC760913047Lotus YellowGreen plaid and Tartan trimThis is a very rare original example, well known in the Esprit community having been featured in various publications.A large history file illustrates significant recent expenditure, including a camshaft belt and tensioner change, replacement fuel tanks, new ignition circuit, three piece replacement clutch, replacement stainless exhaust silencer, replacement drive shaft U/Js, replacement front brake callipers, rebuilt rears, replacement cross gate gear cable and a re-conditioned linkage. Original order form, factory build sheets, warranty claims form, and images support the history file. The car sits on a good set of matching Goodyear NCT's which were suitably stored prior to fitting and have not hardened. The underside of the car and recesses are clean, and finished in the yellow gel-coat; the chassis is also well preserved in its original painted finish. An original factory pass out label from production dated 21.06.1976 is still attached to the brake servo, in its plastic wallet. The interior has faded to some extent, but along with the rest of the car, other than needed replacement, I have not wish to detract or attempt to improve the car's natural patina during my ownership.A rare opportunity to acquire a really nice original "reference" car£20990To discuss this car further, or to arrange a viewing, please contact Scott [email protected] 07769794067 View the full article
