Motorola Alternator Connections

Hi all,

Just got a replacement alternator. The old one was a lucas with a nice easy 3 pin plug to connect the wires. The new motorola one is identical except for the back - no pins just bolts.

Can anyone tell me how to wire it up? Obviously I'll have to cut the plug off the leads. Pic attached to show old & new.

Hi, have just looked at mine and bare in mind mines an S3 so may be different,

i only have two wires coming of my alternator and its the bolt type one is a thin brown wire and the other connection is the main live thats the big red one than channels direct fron the alternator to the starter motor! i think you need to contct wayne! sorry i could not of been of any help

somebody out there must have a wiring diagram

Big (top)terminal is Red (or could be fat brown on UK cars)

Small (lower)terminal is brown/yellow

I will post a wiring diagram if you dont believe me
