PierreLP
Q: With no refuelling this year, the challenges of designing a car which has a considerably different front to rear weight balance from the start to the finish of a race, must have been considerable. Are the drivers able to significantly adjust the aerodynamics to compensate for fuel depreciation, or will the wings be adjusted during the pit stops? Hippo
After you have finished with the official testing, (and in between races) are you still doing work on the cars every day and are you allowed to do your own private testing using the main drivers? Also...you know those pretty smiley girls who stand about on the starting grid...how does one go about applying for that job? neill1607
All teams seem to say "when we get back on the European circuit, we'll have the upgraded car & be more competetive". In the main this seems due to new aerodynamic packages rather than chassis/engine mods. Why the delay? The aerodynamicists must be working on improving the exisiting package following the pre-season testing. If a new nose or tail can be sent out earlier, surely it's worth it for the race gains? Is it difficult/impractical to change/add aerodynamic aids to the body until Europe? I guess not all teams have access to wind tunnels - who's does Lotus use? Is it too difficult/expensive to get the time for development? (I'm sure Roger could be persuaded to loan his rear wing out for the Australian round!) Neill Quote Hooligan at heart. kucing
does it possible for lotus f1 to use 'electron technology' i.e. proton(+) and neutron(-).......? through my imagination....if you turn right the f1 car and the tarmac has more (-), to get more downforce is by adding more (+) on the right side of down surface of f1 car.....anyway, good luck to the lotus f1 team... fmxa
How long does it take to add/change an aero component from conception to getting it onto the car during the season, and do you feel the testing ban is detrimental to the new teams?
