Hi Dave.

I would guess the sender unit is Lucas item that probably went out of production decades ago, so there may be one or two new old stock ones around but best bet is to contact Mike Taylor at Lotusbits.com who specialises in Excels, Elites and Eclats.

Congrats on the Elite, I don't have one and have never had one, but do love the lines, and in the Martini green it looks fantastic. I'm guessing you're local based on the EDP/ EEN article, so if you fancy a drive out to meet some other enthusiasts you're always welcome to pop along to an AEG meet, mor just give me a shout if you're neer Norwich and fancy a coffee.

Andy

Hi Dave,

Just been reading all about you in the Thetford local press courtesy of Martin Ely.

You are indeed a lucky man

Hi Dave,

PNM has them in stock. I've had problems with my Esprit Turbo one and Pete was trying to find a new one for me. We came across a few Elite fuel senders but unfortunately for me, no Esprit Turbo fuel sender!

So give Pete a ring on 0151 630 6101

the fuel sender is a smiths item. you best check @ kitcar parts dealers which are offering compatible parts. evtl. you need to do some little odifications for fitting these senders, are they are mostly srew type ones

or ask caerbont about their fuelsenders:

http://www.caigauge.com/

the original fuel sender has the following part number TBS1214/013

another good link to lotus part numbers and cross references is:

http://www.gglotus.org/ggpart/eclatxref.htm

that page also gives the same type of sender which i checked myselves a few minutes ago in the garage.

Oh forgot to mention but on another thread, I am looking for an Esprit sender and someone mentioned that there's one on Ebay at the moment, type in Esprit fuel sender. It's not an Esprit one and I am convinced it's off an Elite.

Hi all,

I've been doing some homework and the Landrover Series 1 is virtually the same. It has part number TB1214-000. There's one on Ebay at the moment for £24.99. It's worth buying and if it's not exaclty right then swap the bits over to make a correct one.
