Dunc
Yes, thats Simon's V8. Ex Guy Abbot, but now with a similar spec engine to mine from V8 Developments.
Loose Cannon
I thought it l;ooked a bit lively in that 2nd from bottom pic! The 4 seaters should have had far more power than they were blessed with as standard. Quote In the garage no-one can hear you scream

Is this the one-owner car that was auctioned off a couple of months ago? If so, is as nice in the flesh, so to speak, as it looked in the photos? Dunc
No, That one has been in the hands of its current owner since 1977. He was the driver and he had a quick chat with some of us. I got the impression he wasn't an internet type. Nice chap tho. The car was in very original condition - the early type of interior had typically lasted well. However the paint showed microblistering across its flanks and pods. A good 10 yarder.
Gold FFM Dan E Posted September 15, 2017 Gold FFM Report Share Posted September 15, 2017 I saw that car, thought it looked absolutely brilliant, the patina and the colour just added to the appeal to me.

phoenix
I was at the show and it was so nice to see this car in great condition and this colour. It's a 70's sportscars and with the exciting introduction of colour television during that decade, most cars were painted in bold colours like brown, orange, green and yellow. It's a shame when people change the colours to bring them up to date or go for a TV theme like the multiple white Bond-ifications of esprits you see at shows. Keep em original.
Gold FFM johnpwalsh Posted September 15, 2017 Gold FFM Report Share Posted September 15, 2017 Real sorry we missed it this year, hopefully next year though. Here's a pic of the latest barn/shed/yard find. Sadly looks like someone has lifted it by the roof though.

phoenix
So nice to see these three spectacular Lotus sportscars from the 70's, 80's wedge era together. All are connected In their styling and phylosophy. Lovely early dark bumper/skirt, narrow body éclat excel is becoming a rare but endangered species I hear! Popular Post tom kilner
Delivering children to a birthday party but it's not the original colour, the side chrome is missing, cheapo sunshine roof, vinyl probably hiding something else, but I'm sure these issues affected the price, and I'm sure I can live with them. Vroom.
