Nuts Mag

I had the misfortune to flick thought Nuts Magazine today at work ( this weeks issue ) and it had an acticle on Affordable Supercars. Actually, non of the cars they list is a supercar apart from the Esprit. Amazingly they had the price for an SE about right and all the facts and figures as well.

LEW got a mention as a site to look at.

Right then, said Fred.

I also had the misfortune to flick through this soft porn lads magazine at work.

They got all the SE facts and figures correct, however the picture is of a Turbo

and not an SE.

. . .  the picture is of a Turbo and not an SE.

The picture is actually an N/A, not even a Turbo. It doesn't have any fogs, it has the black wing mirrors and just the Esprit logo down the side. Nice pic of the Esprit though, so had to buy the mag. Had to go through the embarrassment of buying a grot mag at the counter.

Nuts... just checked out their website to see what ya'll were talking about. Looks alot like Maxim or FHM over hear, except that your culture is not so uptight that even their softcore porn must be clothed. Somehow doesn't increase the appeal strangely. Hard to see anything under all that airbrush makeup and silicon anyways though.

Hey. Any positive press for the Esprit is good. If they really wanted to sell issues they'd have put a pic of a G car :o

Jimmy: was about to say

I've had to go into snooty gourmet magazine shops since I was 10 for copies of Classic and Sports Car  But it's too expensive and mostly ads  So I get choosy about which one to buy (I have the one with the red TE on the cover from a few years back) Octane Evo and Top Gear are usually my (occasional) purchases. It's fun to lust after all the TVRs and whatnot we can't get

damn...if China allows these kinds of magazine, I will invest to publish one, too...

wonder how's the market reaction to centerfolds of british babe...

anyway, nice article!

ok..visited that nuts mag web site...and I have a question;

what kind of person would put a nuts mag girl photo on their PSP game machine??

it's like converting a porno movie into a MP4 video file and play on a PSP...

(that must get very good attention if you are using your PSP in a subway)

Been reading car magazines since I was about 7!

Started out with Hot Car, Cars and Car Conversions , Motor and Autocar.

Mom would buy me Hot Rod as a special treat from the one place in Birmingham you could get it (expensive)

Schoolyears were spent looking at Custom Car magazine (first glimpse of t*t) :P

At the height of my addiction I was getting these mags:-

Custom car, Hot car, Cars and Car conversions, Classic car, Motor Trend, Hot Rod, Car Craft(mega hard to obtain in the U.K.), Motor spot, AutoSport, Motoring News, Car Styling, all the Autotraders , Exchange and mart, and some I have forgotten!

I cut back alittle now, but I still get, Classic and sportscar, Classic cars, Vintage Motorsport, Practical classics, Hot Rod, High Performance Pontiac, Hemmings, autosport, Forza, Octaine, Automobile, Motor Trend, Car and Driver some design mags and anything else I can get my hands on !

In my younger days , I learned to speed read so, I could read the mags and books I couldnt afford before the shop owner chased me out :)

Now I can sit in Chapters as long as I like B) (Canadian Barnes and Noble)

Eric - If you realyl are in a position to invest in something liek that in China (etc) when /if it opens up FFS DO IT!!!!

They have started one in India and while one half of the society is up in arms, the target audience are soooo keen that the first print run sold out completely!

Do some research and makea FORTUNE (I'll take just 1% commission - that's how confident I am of the quantity of money you'll make!!!)
