Gold FFM TdM Posted May 27 Gold FFM Report Share Posted May 27 Thanks @Giveitfish Yeah I was up around the B6255, the shots were on the Buttertub pass. I'll definitely be going back, it's a great place to drive. I was aware that you are around there from the history of the car. Was glad to be able to take it back to it's old back yard as it were. Must admit, I did have to dodge a few sheep. One in particular was absolutely adamant that it wanted a piece of road and wasn't going to shift. I wondered if the car looked too friendly to them, being white and all...

Gold FFM Popular Post Alfa2Evora Posted May 30 Gold FFM Popular Post Report Share Posted May 30 @mayevora Now that's the sort of car meet I thought I was going to yesterday. Instead, I was probably old enough to be grandfather to most of the other attendees and the Evora had the ground clearance of an SUV compared to a load of the assembled Corsas, Golfs, etc, . Here's my poor baby screaming "Get me out of here!", . I had to fit my illegally-spaced show plate just to chav it up a bit so it looked a little less out of place, . 2
Rambo
Hope you hung some furry dice in the windscreen? And wore your Burberry jacket and matching race bootees. Was it the annual Broxburn bring what you brung carshow? 🤣

It was organised by the same folk who do the one in Dumfries, which I've been to before and which was very good, so I was a tad surprised/disappointed with this one, . Rambo
If you want to go to a good car show in Scotland there is only one these days. It is the largest too and run by BVAC at Thirlestane Castle, Lauder. This year Sir Jackie Stewart and the likes of Mark Webber, David Coulthard, Darii Franchitti, Allan MacNish etc... should be making guest appearances There are some smaller ones ie Moffat that are also good
Gold FFM C8RKH Posted May 30 Gold FFM Report Share Posted May 30 (edited) Erm, actually there is a very good one run further north at Glamis and the Lotus North East Scotland lot will be there in force. The Lauder one sounds great, but the thought of listening to the witterings of Sir Arrogant of Arrogant Stewart have put me right off. I'd rather spend an evening sticking pins in my eyes whilst listening to Sean Connery guffawing about how great an independent Scotland would be from the angle of a tax exile! Plenty of videos of that crap about. Edited May 30 by Bravo73 Quote Alcohol. Sex. Tobacco. Drugs. Chocolate. Meh! NOTHING in this world is as addictive as an Evora +0. It's not for babies! Gold FFM TdM Posted May 30 Gold FFM Report Share Posted May 30 Did you make good use of your subwoofer and crank up the tunes @Alfa2Evora? I would ask if you did any doughnuts in the car park, but I'm sure you wouldn't want to get sugar on the leather...

Rambo
Nice Harvey 👍 I will keep a lookout for the UFO on my travels. Plenty of great roads south of where you stay. The old Jim Clark stamping ground of Duns, Charterhall and Berwickshire are fantastic, as you probably already know? Inland, the roads of Roxburghshire, down to Kielder and Northumberland are great too. Fast, twisty, long sweeping curves, challenging, no PC Plod etc.. Enjoy Edited May 31 by Rambo Typo's !

Techyd
100% loving the silver wheels @Greyvora, much prefer them to the gloss blacks so many have.
Popular Post Greyvora
I agree, the silver/grey combo looks just right on the car. She was delivered with the black pack but the wheels were repainted a while ago. I'm looking forward to more runs on both sides of the Borders over the summer and hopefully see a few Loti along the way. Forgive me for posting another gratuitous pic of the beastie! 4 1 Quote Sparks
Gold FFM C8RKH Posted May 31 Gold FFM Report Share Posted May 31 For some reason, the 400 does not seem to get the love it deserves and yet they are fantastic cars. That car looks a million dollars, I don't normally like grey cars but it just looks great. 1 1 Quote Alcohol. Sex. Tobacco. Drugs. Chocolate. Meh! Phaeton91
The car looks fantastic in that colour scheme. Is there a particular knack or gadget that people use when washing the wheels to clean the groove behind the spokes. My fingers are taking a battering! Popular Post au-yt
Each Thursday I go for coffee with some cars guys at great coffee spot. I was leaving and spotted this Europa and as it turned out owned by a lady who is a serious LOTUS lover. Here father bought it for her years ago and it has now been restored and I must say it is the best Europa I have seen. Turns out she wants an Evora, so I had to oblige with a ride around around a country block. OK so Its not just pictures of the EVORA but what I consider it grand father 11 1
