Seen the car and spoken with him 3 times. Car is an auto....he is not too keen on the auto - would prefer a manual.. This is the second Evora that he has had on loan from Lotus.

It seems the Evora has now gone back to Lotus and he has a Ford Focus.

He's still got the Evora. The focus is a project he's doing on YouTube but the Evora is in a lot of the videos alongside it.

Hethel Blue. Lovely.

I came into this world screaming and covered in someone elses blood. I'll probably leave it in the same way.

Have you changed your exhaust or are the limits more lenient on LOT days?

No it's the original exhaust , so the sports system without the 3rd CAT and in an LE it's non valved. It's not as loud as the later Evoras but is 11 years ish old so the internals.may be a bit knackered... It passed the static test...  just at I think 100db on their test kit so 1db under the limit. Thought I'd have problems out on track but never triggered anything.

Wow that first picture is stunning. I’d imagine the car got a lot of (good) attention throughout the trip - it must have sounded epic too especially in the mountains (and inside them!).

It’s a big trip - mine was just over 1,000 miles with the car fully loaded.  Yours must have been double.  How did the car behave? Did you have any niggles or issues?

Missed the word miles

Great scenery @Simon Batemanover that part of the world! -  I’m still over here for the next 4 days but annoying not in the Lotus - Couldn’t convince the wife to pack 2 and a half weeks clothing into Tesco’s bags for life 🤣

Switzerland and Italy - They do like a good Tunnel so blipping that throttle is a tad enjoyable also. 2100 miles clocked and only seen 2 other Lotus (both Elise’s) so far.

Always do sober what you said you'd do drunk - that will teach us to keep mouth shut!

This is our 4th trip down to Italy in a car group. Love the country and the people.

We stayed the 2nd night in Courmayeur at the 5 star hotel where the cast and crew apparently stayed. Nice hotel but my wife wasnt too impressed with 25 euros for a G & T 😫

As for bags...we got two Kangol faux suede antique holdhalls from House of Fraser for £20.00 that squeeze perfectly into the boot.

Great pics. I noticed there was a Lotus event there. We are going to the ELMS race on 24th Sept. We are camping, so the Evora is missing this one in favour of our new i30n. It's our first decent road trip in it, so really looking to going down there and sampling the chips and mayo (plus a few beers)

We love the place. We've been loads of times to watch the 24hr race, but this will be our first visit 2019 and Covid.

Should be a good trip and that car will do it comfortably, especially the noisy section of road through Belgium!

I passed through Franchorchamps at the end of June as we always stop for lunch there en-route to Germany.  It was a ghost town.  We searched hard for somewhere that was open and found the only place on the way out of town towards the petrol station.  It’s never the busiest of places but post Covid it was especially quiet and so they really need the business and tourism the events being in.

Incidentally, whilst parked up and in the restaurant a local drove past the cars - did a double take then did a U-turn so he could get out and take photos of the Evora (and maybe my mates R8 too). Apologies if wrong thread.  He then did another U Turn, to continue his journey giving us a toot and a thumbs up on the way past.

We normally stay at a campsite near Stavelot. I'll be gutted if our usual Pizza place is closed.

We took a new Civic type R in 2018 and came back to the car to find someone laying down in front of it with a  fancy camera, taking loads of pics. On the campsite we had a queue of Dutch kids wanting to sit in the drivers seat.

Happy days pre covid.
