mik 376
Nice. I bought this plate off dvla a few weeks back. Had a plate made to test it out and decided to cancel as I wasn't 100% sure. It'll be back on sale now if anyone is interested - only £250. pickle 193
I'm over at Nottingham Lotus today for my running in service. Whist the car is up on the ramps with wheels off I decided to grab some photos of less seen parts of the car. If people are interested in seeing any specific parts let me know in the next couple of hours and I'll see what I can do.

Neal H 875
There aren't many cars that upstage an Evora 400, but an Avantador pulls it off!
Popular Post Colin G 762
My main thought was the 400 really holds its own alongside that competition, looks every bit the supercar in the second pic.
Popular Post Evorasteve 94
Porsche factory and museum are a must. The attention to detail is startling. You can see why they are so successful. Great day out if you get the chance. I'll post some pics of the museum if anyone is interested. No factory pics as they don't permit cameras Then Stuttgart to Stelvio. 600km. First 200 on the autobahn. Managed 150mph with plenty to spare (but notable wind noise) but nothing fell off! Then the Evora came into its own. Fantastic switch back passes in Austria and Switzerland. The Evora was almost on a par on the autobahn with the Turbo, Aventador and 918 but really shone on the passes where it was flicked through the hairpins as easy as pie. As a bonus I used half the fuel of the Aventador. Got to confess that the 918 is the most awesome car ever and the Lamborghini is a crowd pleaser. Love my 400 though. Hope you like the pics. Popular Post mcx 164
Some pics (thanks to frozenspeed) of the car at the Nürburgring. Ran really well, I have a partial lap here also. @Arun_D kindly giving directions as he knows his way around much better than me. Loved it. Yes, I do know the seat is creaking.. going in for a fix soon.
CocoPops 827
Glad to see it being used. how did it compare to your friends porsches? seat creak really well illustrated there exactly same as mine, more a metallic graunching clicking creak than a squeaky creak. mcx 164
The 2 guys driving the RSs are both very quick drivers.. this is them there in July ( https://youtu.be/WqmX1oRVeYI ) , one has raced at the 'ring previously so that was the main reason to take the Evora.. learning the track and also not trying to get carried away trying to keep up. The Evora was brilliant, nice and compliant without ever really feeling underdamped. Stickier tyres might be good for next time and although not about lap times I was pretty pleased with an 8:39 btg first time there (the last part of the lap on the vid). Had a local instructor for a bit 1st and 2nd mornings, also Arun helped with directions and lines. Following a driver you trust is a great way to learn.
Popular Post Arun_D 732
From the passenger seat, the Evora 400 was an immensely capable machine round a circuit. It has the required suppleness to suit the Nordschleife very well, and sufficient poke to fire itself up the Kesselchen section and down Dottinger Hohe with ease. Bonus as well that the exhaust can sing without getting the local council's knickers in a twist (like in the UK), and boy does it have some lungs.
Popular Post Evorasteve 94
Fantastic couple of days driving the alpine passes in Austria and Italy. Plenty of great straights, chicanes and gut wrenching mountain passes. The 400 has been simply sensational. It's given the Turbo S a good run for its money and made the Lambo look a bit feeble on the twisty stuff. A couple of minor irkes will be sorted when I'm back (together with fresh oil after all the 2nd & 3rd gear stuff at 6500 rpm) but I have to say it's been better than I could have hoped. We spent 45 mins trying to get a personal best on the last mile before the Italian border, turning round and trying again. So addictive. Just over 3000 miles in 5 days. What a car. If you've got one, get to Austria!
PaulCP 674
I agree We had our first visit to Austria for 3 days of driving with a local Lotus group before going onwards to Switzerland via Italy and though it was amazing. We will definitely be going back there and then probably on to the Dolomites

Benmac 30
Small pleasures! Since I have had the Evora it has sat outside round the side of the house that is away from view. I've got two big single garages. The one attached to the house I had set up as a workshop and the other separate one as a storeroom. A bit of cleaning, tidying, chucking stuff away (still a load more to do) and the garage I use as a bike workshop now can house a car so the Evora can live inside. This is the best one to use as it's actually heated. I'd love to paint the floor and walls and get some proper fitted storage but we're just renting this place while we work out exactly where we want to live. Popular Post Evorasteve 94
Fast trip back to France today from Austria, via Germany. 820km in just over 6 hours, including 2 fuel stops and lunch. You've got to love the autobahn. The Germans know how to make things work. I squeezed out 160mph desperately chasing the others but at 201mph the Aventador won the prize. He swept past me and the dirty air was alarming. Still, my Evora was sensational. Seats truly remarkable- no ounce of discomfort and I was sad to arrive. Gentlemen (and ladies) we have a rare and very special car. I'm already counting down the days until I'm having fun in Europe again. Tell you're friends and neighbours to buy a 400. They won't regret it!
