Don't shatter my bubble!

Alcohol. Sex. Tobacco. Drugs. Chocolate.  Meh! NOTHING in this world is as addictive as an Evora +0. It's not for babies!

The first guy to ride a bull for fun, was a true hero. The second man to follow him was truly nuts!

No my perverted mind works differently to you lot.

As an alternative ending - it could have been the husband unfortunately didn’t make it whilst the wife’s ageing heart stops after realising what she had just done!

Now, think of the long term post traumatic stress caused to that poor Instructor who witnessed not only one but two passings! - He would obviously sue the Estate for copious untold damages resulting in becoming mortgage free with a brand new 90’ inch voice activated flatscreen where no remote is required after taking early retirement brought on by stress.

I have two bank apps that have cheque pay-in, so |I normally use the one that has the slightly better ability to capture the corners, but it has a limit of £750, so had the fun of the Barclays app trying to pay in a cheque for £1000 via Barclays app recently. I was going to resort to Post Office then realised it meant an hour or so in a queue at PO.

@windymiller Barclays app doesn't like it if the signature drops into the machine readable section. If that is the case put a small piece of white paper over it and try again.

litteraly half the signiture is over the white bit and over the account number too 😒 reckon its an over the counter job ?

With all the problems we have in the world today, do we really need yet another muppet finding outrage where non was meant or targeted? I did have to check I had not been in an induced coma and it was not indeed April 1st!

Just because it doesn't have the blood in it we do need to remember that white puddings matter.

It seems that a petition has been created to wipe all statues, branding and associated memorabilia of MG cars from the face of the world. It seems that despite being a small car, the MG Midget is a symbol of discrimination and oppression.

I know there is a gutter press stereotype oft echoed here that it is all the fault of that pervasive ghostly caped top hatted moustache twirling  “ Left “ that you can’t call a biscuit “ midget “ etc . Just to let people know that none of my lefty friends even talk about these things . The reason ? It’s tokenism, pure and simple . There are a hell of a lot more important things than silly biccies to talk about . The root of these stories is (a) it attracts comment and readers and ( b) there is a small minority who do take offence partly because they feel powerless in any other way and want to see “ justice done “ in some trivial way that doesn’t even bother those affected. The story of Ian Dury’s “ Spasticus Autisticus “ song exemplifies it - as you probably know he was disabled and sung about it in a way that made some people choose to be offended on his behalf. Needless to say his blunt honesty won out against their misconceived tokenism . Unless it’s defending people against direct intentional abuse ( which is very much justified) , all this assumption of someone else’s imagined offence is absurd - and a lot rarer than our media makes out .

@basalte - Midget gems are a wee sweetie, not a biscuit.

I believe McVities are next in the firing line as the red haired members of our society are sick and tired of being called "ginger nuts". Apparently, they are red, not ginger, and they are NOT nuts.

Snowflakes are also in line to be renamed as "frozen water geometric weather anomalies".

And in the final case, the remaining 22 letters of the alphabet are taking L, G, B and T to court for discrimination and exclusion.

I guess taking the hiss like this will be viewed by some as outrageous, but of course, it's just a way of showing how some of us feel about how "dumb" and over sensitive  our society is becoming or has become.

Me. I hate labels. I don't judge people by the colour of their skin. Their sex, sexuality or sexual preferences. The clothes they wear or don't wear. Their religion or their beliefs. Their size or looks. Their politics (I even have friends who describe themselves as "lefties"! ;) ).

I judge them by their actions as people. Everyone equal. Everyone worth the same. Everyone matters. If I like them as "people", then great. If not, I choose to not deal/socialise with them as individuals.

It's such a shame, joking apart, that society these days, spurred on by the (d)evil that is social media, encourages the use of "labels" to define who people are, their worth (or not) etc. And i find that some of the people who complain the most about labels and injustice are also some of the most hypocritical too, as evidence through their actions to other groups of people who are discriminated against. It seems that what was unjustly, or unjustifiably done to, or said to them, is OK when they repeat it on another group, for some reason. i never really understood why the hardship they endured had not made them more human, humble or understanding, when dealing with others who were enduring. Instead they put a huge amount of effort into building the case to justify their acts of violence, oppression, discrimination and abuse.

I guess all of this makes me feel unhappy almost every day. Unhappy for the future world that we are creating through our collective actions today.
