Gold FFM johnpwalsh Posted February 16 Gold FFM Report Share Posted February 16 Fantastic new David. Now she will be strong and start the upward battle of getting back to fitness. Be prepared for loads of frustration and anger. We know you are of a strong determined sole and will do great. As previously stated. Give me a shout if you just want a chat. And keep us up to date with Jennifer's progress.

Popular Post PaulCP
^^^^That’s going to be us without power for a day or so then 😟^^^ Low overhead power lines surrounded by plenty of trees plus high winds just don’t mix very well. Maybe we should move and live in a city🤔………………then again, maybe not 😉. At least the power will be going off during the day so I won’t have to do the annual search in the shed in the dark for the camping stove, camping heaters and camping lights. Not a bad collection for someone who’s not been camping for 40 years😉. Really should invest in that generator I keep talking about every winter!
march
yep us without power as well, and water (which is bad news for the cows). Just about to go move the cows to a more protected set of fields and start barricading the barn doors. Predicted winds at the farm are over 80mph which I have never seen before. Same as above with regards the generator - we have a small one but not enough for the farm. Next weeks job - buy a bloody great generator! andydclements
Last weekend I was trimming some of a neighbour's trees (from the ground with a pole saw, I don't do heights) and I commented that there are some bits of the Willow that look as though they should be removed but I couldn't reach but we'll have to see how it copes with wind. Perhaps I was wasting my time and the whole flipping Willow will be over by this weekend.
Rambo
@Andy young willow can be quite resilient and wippy. Older willow can be much more susceptible to high winds and will just snap off if top heavy, paticularly if it's in leaf, which it won't be at the moment. You might be OK. You might not

Popular Post ramjet
On 14/02/2022 at 21:37, Alfa2Evora said: My beloved partner, of nigh-on 30 years, Jennifer suffered what is being described by the medics as a significant stroke in the early hours of this morning. An ambulance arrived very quickly (full marks to them) and she was in A&E within 25 minutes of it happening, which I'm told makes a big difference to her recovery prospects. 9 hours later, she's still in A&E as there are no beds available in the stroke unit. Due to Covid restrictions, I can't get to see her until she's on a ward. Damn this Covid and damn our underfunded NHS Scotland. Having had a stroke myself David, I know how Jennifer may feel. Please give her my best. Quick into A&E is great. Really does help. At least Jennifer is in hospital where they can look after her no matter what. Trust me, if mine was anything to go by, Jennifer will be mostly asleep, so don't feel too bad. I have since read all of the other posts David and read the news of Jennifer bouncing back. Great news. It was weeks for me before I got home, so be ready for that. Every stroke is different and every persons healing time is different. (That frustrated me to tears). The one thing I clearly remember is being told that 75% of healing was admitting that I had a stroke and not putting my 'man badge' on. 6 Quote All we know is that when they stop making this, we will be properly, properly sad.Jeremy Clarkson on the Esprit.
