Rear Hub Nut Size

Recommended Posts

Need to take off the rear hub nut on my S2.2 Eclat Riviera, to get at the driveshafts and UJs. I don't have the correct socket size and as I'm a million miles away from any form of car tools shop, can anyone tell me what size socket I need for the nut so that I can quickly try and grab one off the net/

Hi Matt, I use one that is 1&5/16AF (big) hope that helps, don't forget they need torqueing up to 200 ft/lbs in other words bloody tight.

Good Luck, Dan

We've just put a pipe wrench on it and got nowhere, so I thought it would be tight!! Cheers for the speedy reply Dan.

Thanks Mark.

They're not difficult to find, just bloody pricey!

I haven't tackled the job yet, been putting it off while I do some assorted other minor bits, such as reattaching the wing mirror glass and getting both headlamps to go up and down again.

Should be having a go in next 2 weeks..................
