Where would I find the OBD II connector is a V8?? Specifically a Sport 350 if it differs from a normal V8

<{POST_SNAPBACK}>

There are two:

One is under the dash in the passenger side footwell

The other is in the boot, stuck on a connector box cover right next to the battery

... or at least that's how it is on my '02 V8!

Mine definitely has the boot connecter. But I've not been able to locate the passenger footwell one in mine or the few V8s I've looked at. There something similar but my connector won't attach - but it has a lot of superfluous ribbing which may be getting in the way...

May: DON'T hit it with a hammer!

Clarkson: Why?

May: Cause it's the tool of a pikey.

You have to be careful in the footwell - there is another similar connector, which I think is the SIR diagnostic or something like that.... but it is there!

Lotus kindly provided two:

- the one in the footwell is for use while driving the car

- the one in the boot is for use while working on the engine

All very thoughtful :D

I think there's three connectors in the footwell. Alarm, SIR, and OBD-II - none of them fit :)

Since my car was only a couple ahead of yours on the production line, I guess it will be the same.

I have two, there's one in the boot next to the box of relays, and one under the passenger side dash. The under dash one requires use of the "lotus position", head in footwell etc, and even when you do find it, it doesn't hang down far so is bloody difficult to connect to and equally hard to remove. Mine was nearer the centre console than the wheel arch, and seemed to be wrapped around the rest of the loom a bit!
