Thats what you wanna do with the defuser, sticking it out is not in keeping with the car, it's not a race car - thats what's confusing about it the rest of the car looks nice and sculpted and the wing / defuser look like stick ons.

The old wing would elieviate that and so would a formed defuser.

I just hate the '02 / ferrari lights, they look like piss holes in the snow - much prefer how lambourghini do them on their cars.

Ya, mirrors are an immediate action, no point wasting that time with the whole car without some mirrors on it, spend, spray and stick.

I tried to go the veyron route before but it's alot harder than you think. And slot more expensive. In fact prob double whatthe whole job has cost just on a diffuser isn't happening and it's suppose to be a racer look

as for the lights. Sorry but the new lights are the best mid anyone can do. I prefer my car to look newer and in the 2000s not the 1940s. But that's a preference. And as mine are all moulded in they look IMO better than lotus did originally and I think you might find the factory agree.

One mirror has been purchased just waiting on a reply gor the secon. Def a must before the drl's. But I have the work buying dept on that one lol

I used a wizards of nos kit as the USA kits aren't as safe and uk use pulesoids. I had the normal kit and ran around 90bhp jets. And had a stealth install wired through the heated rear screen. Rule of thumb is you can run 40% of your power in nos. Also mounting in the bonet prooved better for me

I would love to run it again tbh. If you hook up your gear changes right it will put you in the very low 4s even 3s I was always worried about the gearbox as my tyres just gripped all the time. I never used mine too much. But it's amazing stuff. And don't let anyone tell you it's kills engines bla bla. As most ppl have never ran it and it's usually what they have heard from a friend

Well there's jack all you can do about the lights now, I still think the plate mount doesn't even look as if it ever belonged on an Esprit either, thats a Lotus criticism. It's look better filled in and a black bar going across like that Pilko done to his

OK lets focus on that splitter :D

Grab a picture of it's ass and I'll show you what I mean. Failing the Veyron route the pipes need to come out of the splitter but be flush to it.

The Esprit has a natural fat ass anyways imo for a mid engine car and I dont think stick out bits help.

That exhaust has got to go, you've punched in right through the nice moulding on the bumper. I can see it's not bolted back on yet so thats not too bad to recover.

I do really like the front end though - does it still have the bars across the grills ? that was awesome

Agree with Jonathan about the rear, its not molding with the rest of the car, But I do salute you for all the hard work.

I'm thinking of blacking the zorst anyway to blend in and the surround isn't made yet. I love the way ppl have opinions it great. Makes me laugh. As for the diffuser it stays as I like it and it's race style like mike s car which is awesome.

The fact still remains though that I dare to be different and I personally think most of the time it works apart from a few moans. Johnathon lmao lmao.

Im not moaning at all - I'm just giving you my opinion.

My issue with the defuser / wing is that yup it looks race style but it's not a race 'car'. The rest of it looks like a nice road car but the back is trying to be something from le-mans - it's not one, it's not tuther.

Mikes is a racing car which is why it really works on the styling front.

If you took the back end and turned it from a street racer into the safe effect as the front end it would really work, ergo the wing,....imo....

There's no doubt defusers and wings work on a car but it needs to be the whole car, more in line with something like this

well the front splitter hasnt been fitted yet eithier,,,,,oooo i cant wait for the reaction on that lol

its all good though and does the job, maybe a de-cat is in order to throw some flames and burn the public on the pavement lol

like the cleaned look , without all those 'factory fit' gaps on the segments .. front & rear is good -the rear side (LH) for that matter needs to get sorted (this exhaust looks like it was forgotten, and seperatly cut into the bumper) -so I would also say this should be somewhere more central on the rear ..maybe just blowing within the diffuser .

The door handles have been removed now for about four years. I use solenoids and a remote control to pop the drivers door and then a button under the steering wheel to pop the passenger door. The handles still work inside to get out the car.

Not as easy as once thought to do the mod as there is no room to mountbthe solenoids in a esprit so the insides of the doors had to be cut and re-fibreglassed but it's one of my favorite mods along with the swage line removal to give it a smooth look

Buddsy. Thanx. I don't really do the modded thing as such now. When I go to meets now it's more super/hyper car meets with the big boys (lambos. Enzo. Zonda etc etc). What always surprises me is that the elite as such think the lotus is awesome and just stand there chatting about it for ages. Even though there driving murci's.

Where as 90% of esprit owners are totally the opposite and dis agree with what I do. Must be a "heritage" thing in the uk as a fair few from over the water seem to get what I do.

But like ppl say each to there own

How is the car road legal without front parking lights or indicators? Your car as it stands there would get put off the road here until rectified and inspected. Also you'd be screwed over here for entry into a lot of places due to the front clearance. I have a standard S4 and my front end scrubs in a lot of driveways entries.

All we know is that when they stop making this, we will be properly, properly sad.Jeremy Clarkson on the Esprit.

All lights and indicators are hidden behind the mesh. The drl's will be installed behind the mesh aswell when I buy them. So it's totally road legal (ish)

as for lowering. Well every car I have ever had has been on the floor. This is quite high by my terms. You just have to be carefull. This is a reason I'm having a gt style splitterso that hits first.

Hi Karl, hows things buddy! :) Am loving the new colour, well I liked the old colour actually, but cool to see you cracking on with new mods! Like everything your doing but need to see the side exit exhaust in person to comment further. I think if you go down a proper race theme the side exit will work, but given the fact the Esprit is already GT in std form I recon you should keep the exhaust exiting out the back, do a Zonda theme if you must !!! Hehehe!!! Much loves to Pony too.

Mirrors? sorry they just look like S4 mirrors on steroids.

The back, sorry don't like the side exhaust, should be coming out at the back, and that defuser is the 2nd most over the top boy racer cosmetic addition I've seen.

The wing, well I'll stay away from that one.

But the rest I like, if the doors work reliably that's a good touch and everything else looks good, I even quite like the military paint finish.

it was easier I THOUGHT to do the zorst like like, my guy said after it was easy where ever i wanted it

as for the mirrors there s2000, and the lotus forum world LOVED them on a certain yellow car 2 years

ago and they were a AMAZING mod as there more stable etc etc

i forgot if the rest of the car is modded there not so good eh LOL
