New Lotus Esprit Book

William Taylor just showed me the new Lotus Esprit book.

http://www.coteriepress.com/CP_ProductDeta...r=&Productid=59

Wow! Looks great. I would have bought it tonight, if I had my checkbook with me.

Spotted a mistake on the Esprit family tree diagram... The picture for the 89SE caption was a non-SE 88 Commerative. William said that diagram was provided by Lotus... I guess they don't know their own cars! I mean, who could confuse an 88 commerative with the wing for an 89SE???

Oh well it is a very nice book full of inside info, maybe even more than Wayne?

And maybe I can get William to sign it if I put a pen in his hand.

I also have the Elise book

and the Lotus Book S2

It's worth every penny! Once copies are available we will be adding it to LEW's Shop.

I'm looking forward to getting one - especially as I understand a photo of my Glacier blue Esprit is in it

About 10 years ago William Taylor of Cotterie Press took a photo of it when we were on a hoon to the Factory and since then pics have appeared in the big yellow Lotus book

Im getting one

I wasnt at first(already have his original Esprit book)

But this one looks like it has a fair bit of new content

I like the photos of the styling renderings (especially Oliver Winterbottams) B)

Annoyed though at the $400 special edition(with interesting extra content)

Hows a working man supposed to afford that? :D

Any more of this bollocks and I may as well join the Ferrari set(again)

Had a good look at the Donnington Show and finally met Jo from Coterie. I've ordered the Limited Edition and have to say it certainly looks good. Well packaged, signed by Mike Kimberley and Jeremy Walton and the extra content to boot. I'm so looking forward to it.

I ordered one at the Donington show and now eagerly await the early April delivery.......

I got limited edition number 10 on the Saturday morning at Donnington. William told me that it was the first limited edition sold to the public. It's a lovely book, his usual standards for production and some great photos.

But... I've only read the V8 section at the moment, because thats what I own and I have to say I'm dissappointed by the words. There are a number of errors and more concerning important developments missing, two of note - no mention of the upgrade in 2001 to the sport 350 spec braking system and no mention at all of the 2002 model cars with the round rear lights sold in the UK.

Ok I'm moaning but to be honest a couple of hours research on Kato's site would have served Jeremy well.

Regards

Fred

All of those that pre-ordered through me will be contacted this week about their special editions - limited to 100 made, autographed by publisher, writer and MJK, 38 extra pages and I've got one! Its absolutely beautifully presented and fascinating (and I get a thanks at the beginning as some of the pictures came from me!)

Oh and by the way, he sold out at Donnington of the special edition so I'm afraid only those pre-ordered will get em.

Possibly save your life. Check out this website.

I have several Lotus books from Coterie (www.CoteriePress.com) as William Taylor does an outstanding job. I spoke to William earlier this week and will be sending him a check for the Esprit book today. The books grace our coffeee table at home and make a great conversation piece to convert my "other car" friends!

Happy Lotusing!
