Missing odometer reset knob

My odo knob was missing and only a shaft is sticking from the VDO odometer/speed gauge. I noticed there is a small radial hole at the end of the shaft.

I tried to rotate it, odo digit wheels moved slightly, but I can not move it just by gripping with the pliers.

Could anyone take a picture of the reset knob? I'm thinking about making one, but don't know how it mounts to the shaft.

Dont turn it... push it to reset the trip counter.

I beg to differ...

On my S4 I am required to turn the knob on the trip odometre. Turn until it reaches all the same numbers then they will flip in sequence. Upon reaching 000.0 it will begin to keep track of my trip mileage.

Will try to take a photograph tomorrow.

So if I understand you correctly yours just resets by pushing in the knob? Is the speedometer on the S4s an electronic gauge rather than a cable driven?

S4 here as well and mine is turn to reset. Awkward because it doesn't have a knob as such just a post.

Yep! just push the little shaft to reset the trip counter and it's cable driven.
