Dermot 0
Could be a number of things, eg. sticking TPS, wasegate not set right will give bad flat spot about 2800 rpm, vacuum leaks are common lots or plastic t-pieces to snap and small bore hoses to leak if you start looking. As always I cannot be of any helf without a Freescan log file, in your case from idle please. Dermot Quote Lotusesprit.org

Paul C 15
know any way round the problem? i know its not right but ive only had it a couple of weeks and dont have that sort of cash to spend... Well... Mine was not cracked, it did not blow either. I replaced it as it had been welded. Some people weld them and are happy (think you heat the manifold up in the oven first, don't tell wife), but it is cast at the end of the day. I did not trust the mend someone had done on mine. I feared some 'blob' of weld (in my mind) was waiting inside the pipe to snap off and bin my turbo. Also, the outside repair gave no clue as to if the crack extended between banks inside the section. ...but who knows? It may have been 100% fine with 20k miles left on it! My money is on it failing in the middle of the summer, just before a big event, when all the specialists are too busy to mend it for weeks. - so i changed it

Once you have paid someone more than the manifold is worth, just to take it off... ...why not get them to put a new one on? The SW manifolds are different forumula iron that does not crack 'allegedly' like the old ones. SWLC have been using these manifolds for about 6.5 years. They are made from S.G. Iron which is Spherodine* Graphite. They are 420-12 grade as opposed to Silicone Monobidium* Iron. They've told LEW that the main difference between the two manifolds is that the S.G. grade will range from -
superdavelotus 124
Dave, what's wrong with your old manifold exactly? Please pm or e-mail off line and I'll see if I can help. I just found a brand new manifold a few weeks back for Adam Gumbiner for
