GT3 servo assist

Anybody got one of these large black vac pumps as fitted to the GT3, I actually have the same system on my S4s and the pump is loosing vacuum. So I either need to get the pump reconditioned or find another one.

Anyone got any ideas? or can help.

I too have a S4s and was going to change the existing brake setup over to the servo assist as fitted to the later GT3's and v8's. Is this the system you have on your car?

It is the GT3 system on mine, got a large black vac pump in the boot and none of that accumulator stuff in the front, though I'm wondering if mine came like it from the factory.

Though I don't think the V8s have the vac pump but get the vacuum from the engine, I may be wrong on that

Hi All

I have been doing a bit of research on the subject of Esprit Brakes I have been told that the VAC pump is now obsolete. As are all the Esprit Master cylinders, servos including the V8.

Is there any makers names or numbers on the pump?

Where do the wires go to?

The name on the pump is Wabco and I have searched for a replacement, to no avail, the wires are connected to a relay sized module which has Vac pump Control module printed on the side and is wired into the main loom next to the other relays in the boot of the car.

The only marking that looks like a part number is K295

Yep I cant find that pump anywhere either. I might be able to source a pump designed for the job I am just checking out the specifications first. This pump would only require a good 12v feed as it has the pressure switching built in.

I did find this,

but it's from the states, it also has the pressure switch included and only needs a 12v supply
