ifly
Well after looking at all the pictures on line I was not exactly jumping up and down for the new Esprit, but after having seen it up close yesterday in NYC I must say it will probably grow on me. Anyone else have a change of heart after seeing it in person? bingoking
The interior did look a bit plasticy and 70's but it is still only a concept remember. I can't wait for the real thing. 77 esprit
Anyone notice the button on the lower dashboard marked "ESC" ? Hope it was just a way to escape from the GPS Audio System. If not, did anyone notice if the passenger seat and roof section were removeable? Controls for the turn signals on the steering wheel? Windshield washer/wiper switch? Headlight switch? Is this modern ergonomics at work? Lyn

Moxie
Well after looking at all the pictures on line I was not exactly jumping up and down for the new Esprit, but after having seen it up close yesterday in NYC I must say it will probably grow on me. ifly, If you're in the NY/NJ/CT/PA area and would like to meet up with other Esprit owners, six of us just got together for dinner on Monday in Tarrytown and will be making a run to Tuthilltown Spirits sometime in the next few months. PM me if you're interested. Hoping to get to the car show this weekend myself Can someone explain to me how the side-view "mirrors" work? Is it in-binnacle display from cameras? - Matt Quote 1983 "Investor's Special Edition" Turbo Esprit (#43/50) | 2012 Evora S
ifly
Sorry Matt, live in Denver and was just in town over the weekend to see my daughter, perform at a speaking engagement on Tuesday and hoof it back to Denver on Wednesday. Maybe next time. Quote Heaven is where the police are British, the chefs Italian, the mechanics German, the lovers French and it is all organized by the Swiss. Moxie
We went this past Saturday, more than a week after the opening, so it was fairly empty. First time I've ever gone that late, but given the more relaxed atmosphere I don't think I'll ever go on opening weekend again. A notable moment--the woman at front was putting her kid on the hood of this XK for a photo op! Security swarmed her 2 seconds after I took this, but not before the kid kicked her heels back and scratched the paint...
