B33 ENN
Does anyone know if the Brembo brakes on the front of S4/S4s/GT3 will clear inside a 15" SE wheel? B33 ENN
Paul93Lotus
Pretty sure that is a negative. Does anyone know if the Brembo brakes on the front of S4/S4s/GT3 will clear inside a 15" SE wheel? B33 ENN <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
SE Owner :-D
No Way Brother, Even the much postulated 'PNM Kit' is far from a straightforward fit - i know, i had their 'Hi Spec' kit fitted on fronts 15" and the Brembo's on the rears 16" and on a customer service point it took far too long and i was fed a number of untruth's by Pete at PNM which kept Sportomotive and me waiting and i didn't get the full compliment of stainless hosing as 'offered' and Cos and Dave at Sporto said it required 'a bit of work to fit'. Try the AP kit at SJ' s or go for the high spec setup as i have - see here: http://www.lotusespritworld.com/EOwners/RogerPerry.html Front - 323mm and Rear 304mm discs - she stops good NOW! Keep the dreams alive Rog B) Quote 2009 World Singstar Champion No I don't like the Europa, Evora or Exos. "Like a cockmonkey with 3 cocks." B33 ENN
Cheers for the feedback chaps, saved me time and trouble finding out. That's that idea out of le window... At least the good news for Route alloy users is that Lotus is trying to get a tyre contract to supply rubber for the old wheels. Did you stay with the HiSpec from the 285mm PNM kit? I've looked at the inside of my Excel OZ 15" wheels and can't see that there is enough clearance for a 323mm disc and caliper! Any pics? I also thought the PNM 323mm kit sat on front of the hubs, not mounted to the rear as for the toyota braked cars like the pre-S4 esprits and Excels. pitstoppete
exactly Steve. 323 kit is for already brembo equipped cars. front track would be wider on an SE by two thicknessess of the disc centre. and it wouldnt fit the centre bore by 18mm on the dia. Ive got 325 discs with brembo calipers with 17" rims, Dermot has slightly bigger 330 discs, and they are not far off level with a stick on wheel weight, so i seriously doubt it it all fits under a 15. love to see it though.
