sports exhausts and high flow cats

hey up everyone.

I would be greatfull if anyone with a performance stainless system wether that be standard uk fit or federal central exit or with high flow cats fitted could provide me with a name and number and web link if possible to the supplier of thier systems as I want to explore all avenues available to me before I buy a few bits.

I just installed hyperflow cats with no mufflers on my 97 - see http://hyper-flow.com/lotus.htm. Is a bit on the loud side, but sounds good and the system looks nice in chrome (not that you can see it!)

The previous owner of my 1999 had a system made up of off-the-rack 3 inch

free-flow cats (about $100 each) and 3 inch exhausts with no muffler. Not only does it sound fantastic (it's the center exit like a 2002+) but it's economical. The cats, no matter what brand you install, will eventually shoot craps because of the heat from the turbochargers. It's much less expensive to change a Maganflow, Pacesetter, Borla, etc. off-the-rack cat. Just my $0.02!

i have the hyperflow cats, and quicksilver pipes. buy feff is right. hiosd car sounds as good as mine, but for a tenth of the price.

We have no emissions testing at my location. I decatted all together and bought the straight pipes (cat back center outlet) for my 2002 from JAE.

I retained both pre-cat and post cat O2 sensors, no codes were set off and the sound is incredible! Especially hearing the turbos slow spool at idle!!!!!

Performance is vastly improved, under hood temps seem to be lower overall....

Obviously, if your stuck with emissions I'd go with Mark's mod. Makes a lot of sense....

Either way, its a pleasant result.

i got mine from larini exhausts in the uk. it's the best stainless welding job i've seen on any aftermarket exhaust to date. high grade stainless and it can take a knock without damaging. although the lead time was about 4weeks for mine. well worth the wait.

the tone is reasonably subdued at idle and gets much more raucous as you hit the loud pedal.

it fit perfectly as well.

well worth it.

I've just fitted some cat bypass pipes from PNM and they are very good quality and a bargain!!

Trouble is they are a bit loud. The reason there on is because Pete is still waiting for sports cats and my exhausts fell apart so this is temporary measure !

My advice is if you can wait get the sportcat pipes from PNM
