Dazza_22
I've been having issues with both of my Excel's cooling fans not working. I've checked the fuses and they are fine and tomorrow (when it's light enough) I'm going to check the relay and the otter switch. My question is: At what temperature do the fans normally kick in? I was testing the fuses after I had replaced them and it was well over 100 degrees and the fans hadn't started. I thought they would have kicked in by this temperature but I want to make sure so I'm not trying to fix a problem that doesn't exist. Cheers Daryl
EliteMike
Hi Daryl Most slightly older cars like ours, seem to be around about 90 degrees, my Elite cuts in just a tad below that about 87, so assume some where between 80 and 90 would be about right, above that think I would be starting to get bit botherd. Hope all goes well Regards Mike
Dazza_22
Thanks Mike. I managed to get the fans working today. It was a case of a blown fuse which had been attached to the wiring loom. A new fuse and, hey presto!
