Dazza_22
I need some help regarding sourcing a new Cooling Fan Thermal (Otter) Switch. I haven't had any luck finding one in any of my local (Western Australia) motoring shops. I have found them on UK websites which I will order from one if I need to. Does anyone know a manfacturer and/or part number of the genuine or an alternative Otter switch?
fitz
Hi Daryl, you could try moving to a modern fan switch? like these http://www.merlinmotorsport.co.uk/COOLING-Electronic-Fan-Controller/c20_515/index.html may be more reliable, and you can simply place in the hose - might be able to source one cheaper than importing an otter switch. Also i know of someone who has installed a vauxhall cavalier fan switch? (read holden commodore?) Edited May 28, 2011 by fitz
elite 503
I used a thermo-switch from a Saab 900. Got a piece of tube made up with the correct thread. No chance of it popping out! You can get different temperature switches.

Dazza_22
Thanks for the replies. I ended up finding one locally but it didn't solve the problem. Back to square one...
