I've been reading through tons of your posts and you are all seriously into the marque.

I hope to learn a lot from you guys. I want to really do something about the performance of my 1994 Espirit so I don't get so embarrased at traffic lights against poxy blown Fords :) I will get on to the main forum soon and start asking what I can do on a limited budget.

First thing to check is whether your charecooler pump impellor is still in one piece ... if it's not, you'll be down on power. The ECU notices the higher inlet charge temperature and reduces boost to protect the engine so you won't be getting the full power from the engine.

Hello Martin - Stuff the boys in their RS Turbo's, new gearboxes aren't cheap y'know. PS remember to rev over 5k at the lights, firstly it will scare the crap out of them, secondly you'll get overboost!!!*

*not recommended unless you want some large repair bills :)

Welcome to forum. Enjoy. Dont worry about the Fords etc. I bet they are looking at you, not the other way around.

That looks like a 1986 Federal Turbo Esprit HCI.......... :) Martin  you dont have to have an Esprit to be apart of this forum :) Wayne 83 Turbo

Cheers Wayne, that explains a lot. The log book has 1994 as first registration it is however a LHD import from the USA so it could well be that old. It didn't cost that much which probably explains why it doesn't perform that well.

:) Martin ,sorry for suspicious tone... thought it might be a wind up. Post your vin.No and I will check what year your Esprit was made. Your relitively poor performance is probably due to all the emmision control equip. the U.S. export cars were built with. Im at present sorting out how to remove it and will post when its done. Judging by those rims the car must have come from California B) Glad to have you on forum, :) Wayne 83 Turbo p.s. once its sorted you definitely wont have any poxy Fords chewing on your ass!
