wuts the safest and most reliable way to add power

Recommended Posts

Hi, I am a new Lotus owner and I just got a 2000 Esprit V8. I live in america so its US spec ecu. I was thinking of doing a european spec ecu upgrade, I assume since it comes that way from the factory out here its pretty safe and reliable for my car? Now, I would be real happy if I can get 400 crank hp(not whp) out of my esprit, how can I accomplish this safely, smart and as reliable as possible?
