Well it means what it say!

P0158 - LH bank post cat sensor - circuit high voltage

So that sensor is knackered - replace it...

May: DON'T hit it with a hammer!

Clarkson: Why?

I bought a generic o2 sensor from cats direct (sutton autofactors), the 4-wire one. It was OK for about 3months and the tickover started to sound rich.

I replaced it with a replacement from them, and after 1 week the same fault returned.

I then fitted a Lotus one and its been great ever since.

I will always buy o2 sensors from Lotus in future !!

Glyn

ps this was to an S4s and not a V8

You may also want to take a look at PUKEsprit. Marcus sells O2 sensors for the V8, and as far as I know, they are a fair bit cheaper than the Lotus part. Another alternative would be PNMEngineering. They may also have them - ping SuperDaveLotus on this forum as he works alot with the PNM guys
