fmxa
Shah, We need to fix that! I'm still thinking of a weekend trip to Monterrey via Hwy1. Will need to do it in the next few weeks before all the tourist traffic (RV's!) start turning up. My last trip on this road was mid June time and it was amazing. great decision paul! the one i was hoping for you to make since i have yet to see either of your gorgeous cars... slade
24th ought to be ok with me. school's out, and since there won't be any kids at school that means I don't have work for a few months either (as well as being out of school myself) slade Quote "It's called a fire hydrant. JRTurbo909
looks good to me too. i will try to get the car in tip top shape for teh get together. i know of a few esprit owners not on this board so i will pass on the word. lets set that date tentatively... i know of one guy whose esprit is in the shop but i will try to get him to come. here is a description of his other lotus from an email... I've had the Europa since building it from as kit in late 1972. It's been around the world with me a couple of times and was about to be pensioned off after 160,000 miles or so, but I just couldn't part with it. So I decided to do a total nut-and-bolt restoration in 1997, using all of Richard Winter's mods. The car went into his shop (Banks Service Station) in the UK for a stiffer. lighter frame, new rear suspension, lightweight body, and the 2-liter Vauxhall transplant. The car is street legal in California (thanks to its age) but puts out over 300bhp per ton and is virtually unsilenced. So the only place around here to shake out the cobwebs is the Old Topanga Road at five in the morning... quite a car, huh? slade
heh, buy it, it's not quite the Alfa or Fiat that you were thinking about... but then again who cares I'd love one myself... So by 72 were they the Special/twin cam body style? Finally, we might just get some calendar pics!!! Someone should bring a passenger so we can get some action shots containing all 3 (or 4, or however many) cars. B) Shah, there actually WAS another Esprit at UC Riverside... Though I get the impression the owner wasn't an enthusiast (probably borrowing from his dad for a couple days...) Red SE, I talked to the guy, he didn't know anything about it and thought I was crazy To be fair I think I was driving something else at the time, as it was raining.
