I know someone with a commando. Can ask if you like, think he wanted about £6k.

Trevor.

I'll get around to it at some point.

Does anyone know anything about P&M Kawasaki bikes?

Hi Pete,

That actual bike was my uncles race bike, or rather he sponsored it, I believe he had also raced them. I know he used to race a lot in the 70's. before he set up a race team. I'm not sure if he was well know in bike racing. His name was Colin Aldridge.

Were they tuned by P&M?

think p and m were frame builders. Colin Aldridge was an owner when i knew of him in the isle of man .Think Richard Peckett is still in the motor cycle trade

Ah right I wondered what P & M was.

Yep he lived on the isle of man, was he well known in bikes? He passed away a few years ago.

I can remember being taken to garages etc when I was a child with my cousins, when he was still racing.

My first bush basher bike was a 2 stroke Yamaha HT1-90. Shocker.

First road bike was an RD 250LC. Removed the fibreglass packing from the silencers which lowered the power band coming in by 500 rpm. thumbsup.gif Then later had it ported and polished by a friend who was a wizz at it. Top speed was 168km/h

Then got a Ducati SD 900 Darmah which I loved for it's sound.

Then the big 4 stroke single Yamaha 500cc trail bike

Now have a BMW K75RT. Electric fairing, radio/cassette, heated handgrips, ABS front & rear. Nice.

Always lusted after a Mike Hailwood Replica Mille model.
