Still looking for Saturn Center Caps Front & Rears

Recommended Posts

Do not care if badges match, just need to cover up the holes! lol. Anyone, please? Help. Lotus Garage tried but could not get what they advertised as they were apparently matched to wheels for sale and would not separate them.

Looks like you need the OZ Saturn center cap part # M517

as described here (expired auction)

http://www.ebay.com/...6#ht_500wt_1156

Some here

http://www.ebay.com/...#ht_1811wt_1172

and one here

and one here

Of course they would need to be refinished...

and it looks like Toyota and Fittipaldi wheels used that same M517 center cap...

maybe you can use one of these to make the Toyota ones look like OZ

Hi Travis,

Thank you for your information and links! Every car I have seen with the wheel that I think I have in hand, have center caps that do not appear to have the ridge and then a depression, such as the M517's seem to have. Both front and rear caps that I have seen in pictures seem to be curved inwardly in a smooth fashion rather than having a ridge. I offered the seller of the two new silver M517 100 for the pair which he accepted but without my ability to return them (he refused any returns), I did not want to get stuck with them if my observations of the gently inward curving (no ridge) was correct. Sent OZ an email about the ridged version, or what number I should be looking for without a reply so am still confused. I have only seen two cars with the Saturns (in pictures) and none of them appear to have ridged caps.

Also tried SJ Motors as they had them listed but came back empty handed as well.

Travis,

Here are my wheels so which cap do you think I need, remembering that the fronts are around 5 7/8" the rears around 6 1/4" wide hole so they are different sizes. Do you think the one with the ridge actually fits my wheels or is that for another wheel type? The one on the wheel seems to use one of the ring of five screws to attach it to the wheel, whereas the ebay one does not, it is outside the ring of bolts - i.e. the cap bolt ring is the same size for front and rear, just the attaching bolt is outside the ring? The cars that I have seen with what appears to be Saturns, neither front or rear cap has this ridge

Travis,

Thank you for trying for me! Thought I would go to these wheels once my mods are done but am a bit leery of putting them on without caps as a dust seal. At least I think I have figured out that I am looking for m546C, at least I think that is the rear. Do not know if that is the same for the front but am betting not given the difference in hole diameter. The TPMS (Orange P409) the valve stem holes in the current wheels as the valves do not have enough thread to catch the internal bolt. It never ends. lol Have a great night.

Yes they do need to be the sort that fits with one of the 5 'allen keys' on the cap i.e. the top picture with the tyre on. I was seriously considering getting a machine shop to make me some but I got lucky with a Lotus dealer in the States who sold me the last two he had. Don't want to add to your dismay anymore but once you get them the modern wheel balancing machines can not fit them on due to the lug that holds the cap on! so like me you will have to find an old fashioned specialist who can balance them on the car. This is a much better way of doing it anyway as the imbalance is generally the disc as well as the wheel so you get a much nicer ride once done.
