markjonesx 1
See below, the clutch assembly on a 912 engine (out of 1982 Esprit) seem to be different from the 907 clutch plate from my '77 S1 Esprit. I have an original Citroen gearbox in my S1. Question: Will both fit? or should I go with the 907 arrangement? Hmmmmmm.............. andydclements 810
he main thing (other than obvious things which should be OK such as bolt alignment) is not so much the depth of the outer steel shell but the depth from the bolting surface of the fingers when in place and bolted up. It may be that when bolted up both pressure plates give the fingers the same distance from the flywheel, but you'd really need to fit both and measure to know.
markjonesx 1
Probably just bolt on the 907 assembly, then I'm pretty sure it would be OK, and this was how the gearbox was? Got some time yet, engine not even stripped. Quote Esprit S1, 238G, Blog Online Photo's This car was most definately hand built, NOTHING FITS!
giorgio67 185
907 and 912 engine use different clutch cover assy and release bearing, one type has flat fingers the other curved fingers. You need to match the cover assy with the right release bearing... Ciao Giorgio
