markjonesx 1
OK, another part from SJ that doesn't fit, maybe I'm asking too much. Has anyone done this before, is this correct, do I have to "modify it" myself, anyone have any tips? Quote Esprit S1, 238G, Blog Online Photo's This car was most definately hand built, NOTHING FITS! andydclements 790
It's copper alloy pipe, simply bend it with your fingers to suit. You can get them right or close to it but many suppliers simply send the pipe flared with unions on and leave you to bend it from scratch. If you don't want to bend it just in your fingers, detach the callipers, attach the pipe at both ends (callipers and flexi joint) then move calliper to position slowly, aiding the copper pipe to form a suitable gentle curve without any sharp kinks. Paul Coleman 517
Yeah I bent mine with my fingers because I couldn't get the bender in there tight enough. Paul. Quote Lotus Esprit [meaning] a 1:1 scale Airfix kit with a propensity to catch fire

markjonesx 1
From memory, I think roughly squashed them to fit by hand, flatten the "S" alot first, it's a bitch, but you just gotta man up. I did it all off car then screwed into place. Quote Esprit S1, 238G, Blog Online Photo's This car was most definately hand built, NOTHING FITS!
