That's just the Exige S with the roof panel removed.

The old Exige had to have some minor modifications made to allow owners to remove the roof panel.

If you haven't seen an Exige S in person it is basically the same as an Elise from the engine forward albeit with a slightly different front end but as you know the Elise hardtop can be removed and replaced with a soft top. So can the roof on this car, without modifications.

No large rear wing! So not as much downforce/different geo

Front splitter changed?? 20+ mph lower top speed

= much improved CO emission better MPG & better road tax

A WINNER I should think; just hope it don't take as long to get them to the paying customers

So really it's an Elige or an Exise but very disappointing none the less if this is what they mean by blowing the roof off.

I'm guessing an Evora soft top as well; can't wait for Bibs little show tomorrow

JC for a company that is £millions in debt offering 2 cars/major uplifts every year what more do you want?

For a small car manufacturer I think someone is doing a pretty good job of keeping LOTUS in the public's eye

If that's all this "brouhaha" was about, I'm disappointed.

Does anyone other than Bibs know what time the press conference starts?

8:33 pm Ian.

I'm just about to turn around, turn my synthesizers on and play some music for myself. :)

Of January Kretzmann Lotus brings fresh wind on the fair stage autosalon Geneva 2012. At the conditions of the British sports car manufacturer visitors can admire the Exige S, according to Lotus the fastest Roadster, which the mark produced so far. The vehicle gets a Softtop and brings scarcely 1100 Kilos on the balance. For propulsion 350 HP of strong V6 with 3,5 litres capacity and compressor loading provide. The acceleration of the lightweight construction racer can be able to be seen: In four seconds the Exige S Roadster from the conditions prescht on speed 100, after 8.5 seconds lies close to 160 things. The indicated Topspeed of 233 km/h sounds against it in view of the weight per horsepower rather disappointing.

Seems to have the same performance as the Exige shown at Frankfurt but with the option of an automated (i.e. paddle shift) manual, as is available on the Elise. Targeted as a bit more comfort orientated that the other Exige version

Autobild is presenting the Exige S Roadster as a Roadster Rocket from England. The fatest Roadster Lotus has ever built. 0-100 KPH in 4 seconds, 0-100 MPH in 8.5 seconds and 1100 Kilos. They are disappointed with the stated top speed of 233 KPH, which does sound very low -hoefully its a wrong information.

Hopefully we ge to see a bit more - open cars always give me headaches.
