Easily accessible switched live?

Recommended Posts

Thinking of hardwiring my snooper into the Evora.

Anyone done anything similar and can recommend an easily accessible switched live that doesnt require ripping the car apart?

Cheers in advance.

Good point, I will check out how easy it is to get at the rear.

I am also thinking about maybe connecting up to the 12v behind the armrest as this is obviously switched, or was hoping might be something around the fuse panel that is easy to access.

I'm currently trying to hardwire a phone charger cradle. Anyone done anything like this before? I was planning to use an "add a circuit" fuse thing for the live, but am unsure about the earth.I did see a post on another forum where I think the earth was done via a ring terminal onto one of the bolts fixing one of the passenger foot well fuseboxes on. Is this good enough? Not being made from ye olde steel I'm not sure how to do this properly.

Snowman I used the approach you mention above in the end. I am away at the moment so cant take a pic, but I tapped into a fuse and used a near by bolt, been working fine for ages without issue.
