DAV1D
I'm planning to invest in a Hero3 Black edition soon for internal and external car stuff. The new Black edition has WiFi and a remote as standard so is more versatile than ever. We use a Hero2 for follow shots when doing car reviews and it is hard to work out what you are seeing. Once I have the Hero3 I can mount it on the nose of my car and link it via the built in WiFi to my dash-mounted iPad so no more guesswork. The quality is more than good enough and will probably replace my EOS 60D for in car review work.

OwenGT3
I've just invested in a Drift Ghost S. I did a lot of research into top end action cameras and decided the Drift was the best for my needs, my main reasons for this camera being the 3.5 mm jack socket for an external mic and the rotating lens. I liked the fact you could rotate the lens on the drift, it has a built in LCD, WiFi enabled, 12 megapixel still shooting, 30 or 60 fps at 1080p, 3.5 hours battery life and car video mode. I also purchased the camera suction mount and waterproof case, not to go deep under water, but to use for filming on the car. If it does fall off and bounces down the road, the case is cheaper than the camera to replace. Although if used without a case and the lens was damaged, you can get replacement lenses. So far I'm very pleased with the results, a nice well made camera, good clear menu and very well made accessories. The suction mount is very strong. Finlandese
I am a very happy DriftHd user. Upgraded this summer to Ghost-S, primarily for the low light performance. IMHO if you need a camera for car rigging and external sound, the Drift hd is the the best. https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCCqXAMggnr7vwIskzO3yfKQ P.s. the Goodwood one was filmed mostly with my cell phone.. :-) Edited January 1, 2015 by Finlandese
