Me too!

All we know is that when they stop making this, we will be properly, properly sad.Jeremy Clarkson on the Esprit.

Opinions are like armpits. Everyone has them, some just stink more than others.

Do they? First I've heard of it.

The rev limiter is there for a reason, bouncing a gear on the way down is a different, and warranty voiding matter.

Seriously who the hell needs launch control when Lotus would void the warrentee of the Elise/Exige if you hit the limiter a few times....?

hitting the rev limiter does not void the warrantee; on either the Elise or Exige

It did over here for a few guys that thought they could constantly do burn outs and autocrossing bouncing off the limiter...

But seriously launch control on a Lotus, save that crap for a Viper or GTR.. There is no better way to screw up a car than high rpm launches..

I think it's fast enough…maybe

I believe Lotus have had the odd warranty claim for a couple of owners. Once they downloaded an ECU summary, it revealed that the car had been frequently redlined, and "bouncing" the limiter (burnouts etc...) may have occurred. I’m pretty sure that Lotus did not pay for replacement parts or labour.

If you treat your car with little respect then don’t expect it to look after your wallet.

I do find it frustrating that the majority of manufacturers who offer or fit Launch Control to a car will normally declare in the small print that if it is used, warranty on associated drive train components will be voided. (I’m sure it’s open to appeal but that declaration is enough for me to have never used mine)

A lot of track cars have their warranty voided if used on track!

Not used the launch system on the Cup even though we are out of the two year warranty; if we had a boy racer at the lights next to us by the time I'd set launch control up I'd still be at the lights and BR and all in that lane would be long gone

yes too old for this electronic wizardry!!!
